A pillar of stone rises to the center of a dome; carved inside is the tomb of Saint Francis of Assisi. In front of the pillar is a small altar with simple candlesticks and a tabernacle depicting Saint Francis and Saint Clare kneeling before the Cross. Candles fill the tomb with peaceful, warm light.
